Job Description

We are looking for Procurement Officer to manage the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for the organization, to play a crucial role in maintaining strong supplier relationships and vendor registrations, optimizing costs, and ensuring compliance with company policies & regulatory requirements. Additionally, contributes to the overall efficiency, financial stability, and operational success. Job and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with Marhaba Auctions\' objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and maintain a reliable supplier base.
  • Prepare procurement plans and budgets based on organizational needs and market trends.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, ensuring high-quality goods/services and timely delivery.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and address any issues or disputes that arise.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including identifying requirements, sourcing, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts as per the set procurement policy from the company.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather specifications and define procurement needs. \xc2\xb7
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor procurement metrics, analyze spending patterns, and identify cost-saving opportunities. \xc2\xb7
  • Optimize costs through effective negotiation, bulk purchasing, and alternative sourcing strategies.
  • Prepare and manage procurement budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor/ Diploma
  • Degree in accounting, business management or a similar field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a procurement officer or in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Supervisory and management experience.
  • Attention to detail.
