- Develop and implement procurement strategies consistent with project requirements, budgetary constraints, and company policies.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities, and maintaining a comprehensive vendor database.
- Solicit and evaluate competitive bids and proposals from suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions to optimize pricing and contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify procurement needs, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services, resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
- Review and analyze purchasing contracts, purchase orders, and other procurement documents to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels, identifying opportunities for cost savings, and implementing inventory management strategies.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation, including supplier information, purchase history, and pricing details.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and technologies relevant to the construction industry, and make recommendations for process improvements.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement practices, contract management, and cost control principles.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using procurement software and MS Office applications.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
