The Role

- Establishes local/international suppliers for company \xe2\x80\xa2 Evaluates suppliers on delivery, quality, and cost performance, and finds alternative suppliers to establish cost savings as well as to minimize the risk of supplier failures to the company \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensures the availability of materials needed in production and in any other department \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitors the ordering process and delivery status of goods \xe2\x80\xa2 Together with the Engineering department, evaluates suppliers on delivery, quality and cost performance and proposes replacement suppliers if necessary \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensures consumable items are enough for production requirement especially polishing items \xe2\x80\xa2 Helps in checking Inter Company prices for sales quotation purposes \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversees material demands for local/international supplier either buy-out order/local order \xe2\x80\xa2 Obtains recommendations from suppliers for possible alternative items with the approval of the quality \xe2\x80\xa2 Verifies receipt orders versus the items ordered \xe2\x80\xa2 Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents \xe2\x80\xa2 Take responsibility for stock level of raw material, purchased items, semi-fabricated and finished goods \xe2\x80\xa2 Any other job-related duties as required
- Team player and able to get on with people of different nationalities \xe2\x80\xa2 Comfortable in working with different functions, e.g., Engineering, Operations, Sales \xe2\x80\xa2 Comfortable with technical issues/requirements and working with Intercompany, sales, etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 Min. 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Procurement/Purchasing \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledgeable in Procurement Management and SAP system/ ERP \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers ideally in manufacturing related industry \xe2\x80\xa2 Motivator \xe2\x80\xa2 Has strong communication and leadership skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Good analytical and strategic thinking skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Has a positive attitude
