Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers. Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Review quality of purchased products. Enter order details (e.g., vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
  • Design and implement all material plans and ensure compliance to all procurement policies and manage all communication for all engineering activities and assist to buy all supplies and equipment and maintain quality for the same.
  • Excellent knowledge of Dubai/UAE building material market and good contacts with manufacturers, traders, machinery dealers, plant hires and subcontractors of various building trades.
  • Good exposure to international and domestic procurement and familiar with port and customs procedures and documentation.
  • Good exposure to all facets of Supply chain management and excellent exposure to L/C negotiations, port & customs procedure and export import documentation
  • Sourcing and selection of suppliers/sub-contractors & Implementing standards and grade performance of vendors and quality management in procurement process.
  • Develop market & commodity intelligence and update sourcing strategies,
  • Experience in reading construction drawings & specifications and quantity calculation etc
  • Responsible for all procurement activities joinery and fit out
  • Sourcing of furniture, sanitary ware, ironmongeries, floor & wall finishes as per designer\xe2\x80\x99s requirements
  • Review purchases volume from each supplier and improve credit terms and maintain a fixed price list for major projects
  • Review and approve job order issued by factory and design in accordance with Drawing Specification wastage calculation & budge
  • Coordinate presentation for new items, keep up to date with local and International market innovative materials
  • Global sourcing, bulk buying, etc.
Candidate Profile:
  • Graduate of Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field.
  • Proven work experience of 3-4 years in a similar role, with background in finishing contractor/interiors fit out
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
  • Hands-on experience with purchasing software
  • Negotiation skills
  • Possess strong work and business ethics
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks with a high level of organization
  • Communicate information effectively, both orally and in writing both internally and externally
