Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Purchase Officer is responsible for:
- Complete the registration of vendors & subcontracting in line with purchase policy and ensure that Vendor Master (VM) related documentation is up to date at all times.
- Initiate and follow up vendor evaluation on annual basis.
- Update material pricing on regular basis in Material Master (MM).
- Generate department reports (Purchase Dashboard) on monthly basis.
- Getting Purchase Request (PR),RFQ and relevant documents from requestor.
- Sending RFQ & obtaining competitive quotations from approved vendors.
- Preparing the summary of quotations (SOQ).
- Creating and Issuing Purchase Orders in line with Carrier Policy .
- Ensures that all purchasing is in compliance with regulations and laws related to purchasing practices and in accordance with Carrier standard practices.
- Regular review of open purchases orders until completion of Goods Received (GR).
- Run Purchase Orders Clean up twice yearly.
- Lead negotiations and special pricings with factories and related vendors.
- Find & Hire New vendors whenever required.
- Develop and introduce agreements & pricing list for standard and repetitive purchases.
