Procurement Officer (aluminum & Facade Industry)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



Material Procurement:

Source and procure materials including aluminum profiles, glass, hardware, accessories, gaskets, ACP panels, sealants, and other facade-related items.

Vendor Management:

Request and evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve optimal value.

Purchase Order Management:

Issue purchase orders (POs) and monitor supplier delivery performance to ensure timely arrival of materials at sites or factory.

Supplier Evaluation:

Maintain and update an approved vendor list; conduct regular assessments based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

Liaise with engineering, estimation, and site execution teams to confirm material specifications, quantities, and lead times.

Logistics & Tracking:

Maintain procurement logs, track material status, and ensure up-to-date reporting to relevant departments.

Compliance & Quality Control:

Verify that procured materials meet technical specifications, project requirements, and quality standards.

Inventory Management:

Monitor stock levels in coordination with the warehouse/stores team and initiate reordering to avoid material shortages.

Issue Resolution:

Follow up on delayed, damaged, or non-conforming deliveries and coordinate with vendors for replacements or corrective action.

Cost Control & Budgeting:

Ensure procurement activities are aligned with project budgets, timelines, and internal compliance procedures.

Education & Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in

Supply Chain Management

,

Business Administration

,

Engineering

, or a related field.

Experience & Skills:



3-5 years of procurement experience, ideally within an

aluminum, facade, or construction contracting

company. Strong technical knowledge of

aluminum and glass systems

, facade components, and construction materials. Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. Proficient in MS Office, procurement software, and ERP systems. Ability to work independently and manage multiple procurement tasks across simultaneous projects.
