*Title*: Procurement Officer (Chicken Farms) *Reports To*: Managing Director *Location*: Main Street, Al Ain, U.A.E *Job Summary*: The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing and managing all the materials, equipment, and services required for the efficient operation of the chicken farm. This includes but is not limited to feed, healthcare products, poultry equipment, and contractual services. *Key Responsibilities*: 1. *Sourcing*: Identify suppliers for chicken feed, equipment, medication, and other farming necessities. Ensure all products comply with quality and ethical standards. 2. *Negotiating*: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements and cost savings. 3. *Monitoring Inventory*: Manage and oversee inventory levels of feed, medication, and other essential farm supplies. 4. *Quality Assurance*: Regularly evaluate supplier compliance with quality, safety, and welfare standards in alignment with industry regulations. 5. *Vendor Management*: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage performance and contractual obligations. 6. *Compliance*: Ensure all procurement activities are in line with regulatory guidelines and ethical farming practices. 7. *Budgeting and Cost Analysis*: Manage procurement budget and conduct regular cost analysis to identify opportunities for financial efficiency. 8. *Collaboration*: Work closely with farm management, veterinary staff, and other stakeholders to understand their procurement needs. 9. *Sustainability Focus*: Seek opportunities to align procurement practices with the farm\'s sustainability and environmental goals. 10. *Market Analysis*: Stay updated on market trends and emerging technologies in poultry farming to ensure that the farm remains competitive. *Qualifications*: - Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Agriculture, or related field. - 2-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the poultry or agricultural industry. - Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. - Knowledge of poultry farming operations, including industry standards and regulations. - Proficient in relevant procurement software and tools. - Excellent communication and analytical skills. - Commitment to ethical and sustainable farming practices. *Working Conditions*: May require occasional travel to suppliers or other company locations. *Compensation*: The role of the Procurement Officer in an office setting requires a specialized focus on the unique needs of the poultry industry.
