Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement In-Charge with a strong background in the catering industry, preferably in industrial catering. The ideal candidate will oversee procurement activities, manage supplier relationships, ensure cost efficiency, and maintain quality standards for all purchased goods and services.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management:
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers/vendors for food, beverages, equipment, and other catering necessities.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance.
  • Procurement Strategy:
  • Develop and implement procurement policies to optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Inventory & Cost Control:
  • Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
  • Track procurement expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure procurement aligns with budget constraints.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Inspect purchased goods to ensure they meet quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Address any discrepancies or issues with suppliers promptly.
  • Logistics & Coordination:
  • Liaise with operations, kitchen, and logistics teams to ensure smooth procurement processes.
  • Coordinate deliveries and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and invoices.
  • Generate reports on procurement activities, savings, and vendor performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 5-7 years in procurement, preferably in the catering/industrial catering sector.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement software and inventory systems.
  • Analytical mindset with cost-saving expertise.
  • Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Immediate availability.
  • Experience in bulk procurement for large-scale catering operations.
