Procurement & Logistics Co Ordinator

Job Description

We are looking for a Procurement & Logistics Coordinator for one oof our clients.

Job Responsibilities:

PROCUREMENT

  • Generate PO in the ERP system and send to suppliers
  • Monitor Purchase Request in ERP system to avoid redundant planning of stocks
  • Ensuring the availability all Pats in time at Warehouse as per commitment to customers
  • Monitoring delivery of Parts by suppliers to ensure they are on time
  • Resolving disputes and claims with vendors and suppliers, also do the corrections in the ERP system
  • Prepare monthly KPIs with action plans for improvement

LOGISTICS (inbound and outbound)

Import
  • Coordinating with supplier for packing details once the goods are ready for dispatch
  • Negotiating freight rates with forwarders and Freight compliance
  • Coordinating with suppliers, forwarders and warehouse team for vehicle dispatch
  • Preparation of transport planning & import documentation
  • Create inbound in system with reference to supplier invoice and our PO upon dispatch
  • Coordination and follow-up on shipment status with supplier & forwarders
  • Prepare monthly KPIs with action plans for improvement

Export
  • Release Outbound request to warehouse and instruct for packing
  • Provide shipping instructions to the warehouse
  • Prepare necessary shipping documents
  • Coordinate with customer and freight forwarder for further movements
  • Prepare monthly KPIs with action plans for improvement
Continuously monitor and minimize the transport cost

Bill Processing
  • Follow up with forwarders on receiving bills for freight/clearance/delivery
  • Bill Clearance - Forward the bills to finance with appropriate details and approvals
  • Follow up on supplier for the accounting invoice after goods dispatch

Warehouse management
  • Stock compliance and Annual stock count management
  • Ensure monitoring of processes by the service provider as per SLA
  • Make sure all deliveries are carried out on time
  • Managing packing type & implement specific packaging requirements
  • Frequent Stock reconciliation and corrections in ERP system

Experience & Knowledge:
  • Working experience in Procurement & logistics.
  • Working proficiency in ERP system (SAP is advantage)
  • Excellent networking and time management skills

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management
  • Diploma/training courses in inventory management (optional)

Skills:
  • High level of analytical skills needed.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Excel and Power Point and other MS tools
  • Out of the box thinking to participate in process improvements
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.

Personality Attributes:
  • Results and Quality oriented
  • Accurately and reliably provide correct solutions

Preferred:
  • Willingness to work under pressure and take challenges.
  • Exposure to working in Automobile/ Elevator /HVAC& Refrigeration industry is an advantage
  • Working knowledge of statistical forecasting tools
