About the role Reporting directly to the Head of Prediction, this role will be based in Dubai, UAE. We are seeking an experienced data scientist to join our team. As a Predictive Analyst, you will be working with and enhancing our prediction pipelines code base, to enable prediction at scale across our many jurisdictions and products, and to drive new and existing business performance. You will be responsible for designing and developing tools to enable fast model development, conducting experiments, and developing data-driven solutions to solve complex problems. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, in addition to high proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in developing machine learning systems utilizing software engineering principles. Previous experience in fintech, specifically credit decisioning systems and/or mobile money lending is also advantageous. Personality of an Ezra Predictive Analyst You will be:

Responsibilities | What you\'ll do

• Review and identify key data sets from partners to utilize and develop ML models.
• Collect, preprocess, analyze large and complex data sets.
• Define features and perform clustering, feature reduction and feature selection.
• Develop prediction models to improve partner and product performance.
• Develop Ezra Prediction modules in Python to enable automated machine learning systems.
• Design and conduct experiments to validate models, hypotheses and enhance market understanding.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and deploy Machine learning solutions.
• Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports, presentations, and visualizations.
• Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of models, prediction system and algorithms

Requirements | What we are looking for Essential experience

• Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics
• 6+ years of experience in data science or machine learning engineering role
• Excellent programming skills in Python
• Strong programming skills in SQL (Postgres/Redshift/Similar)
• Experience in Linux OS variants such as Debian, utilizing the command line.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Working with various data structures - lists, dictionaries, arrays, data frames etc.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Desired experience

• At least one SCM tool (Git, Bitbucket, etc.)
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Ability to balance project work at the \'start up\' stage while also developing longer-term data and Machine learning modules.
• Track record of operationalizing machine learning models and systems into production, yielding measurable high impact optimisation within the particular project or product
• Understanding feature store architecture and implementation
