Position Overview
The Pre-Approval Officer role in Dubai supports Al-Futtaim Healthcare by managing insurance pre-approvals across inpatient, outpatient, and pharmacy services. This position plays a critical role in ensuring timely access to care, supporting revenue protection, and maintaining smooth patient journeys within HealthHub clinics. The role is exclusively open to Emirati nationals as part of the Group's Emiratisation commitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process assigned insurance claim and pre-approval forms to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Update approvals received from insurers with full accuracy and within defined turnaround times
  • Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to obtain missing documentation or clarifications
  • Meet daily productivity and quality targets for claims verification and approvals
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of medical records ensuring compliance with coding standards, DHA regulations, and payer guidelines
  • Submit insurance pre-approvals aligned with KPIs to improve first-round approval rates
  • Monitor coordination with internal and external stakeholders to prevent revenue leakage and reduce insurance rejections
  • Analyze denial trends, recommend corrective actions, and escalate rejected approvals when required
  • Educate and collaborate with billing, approval, and clinical documentation teams to enhance workflow efficiency and compliance
Ideal Profile
  • Emirati national with a valid family book
  • Certified professional coding certification from a recognized institution
  • Certified medical or paramedical qualification
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in revenue cycle management, insurance pre-approvals, or medical claims submission
  • Strong medical background with the ability to reconcile clinical and insurance documentation
  • Ability to work under pressure while meeting targets and service standards
