The Corporate Technical Engineer - Offshore will be responsible to manage projects on the engineering side and assist the Head of Technical in its daily task and the daily operation of corporate technical. Manage all the technical information related to the vessels, insure Market and Regulatory Watch, support and promotes decarbonation, digitalization and innovation across the division and assisting the line manager in any other technical related tasks whenever is required.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Corporate Documentation
In charge of the corporate technical library and the management of the Corporate Sharepoint.
Ensure proper storage of the technical library of the vessels (drawings, manuals, stability files, etc.)
Ensure vessels modifications, Drydocking and Overhauls are properly tracked and recorded.
Participate to the elaboration of Corporate Technical Standards, Procedures and Guidelines.
Regulatory watch
Ensure regulatory watch (Statutory rules and regulations, Class, Standards, etc.)
Maintain proper documentation.
Market watch
Analyse competitor\'s technical capabilities through general market information.
Monitor shipbuilding and ship design developments.
Check competitors moves.
Analyse future needs of clients.
R&D
Analyse market regarding green and smart vessel.
Nurture research in ship design and shipbuilding.
Assist head of technical regarding deployment of green, connected and smart vessel policy.
Assist head of technical regarding deployment of condition-based maintenance policy
Engineering Support
Provide engineering support to the Business Units (modification of the vessels, rules and regulations compliance, etc.).
Assist the head of technical in the implementation of the decarbonization policy.
Manage Projects from an engineering point of view.
Dry Docking & Maintenance
Assist Corporate technical superintendent with the organisation and attendance of dry docking whenever necessary.
Participate to the elaboration of a vision, strategy, and planning for planned maintenance data management.
Participate to the elaboration of the critical spare parts list.
Assist with the improvement of the PMS at Corporate level.
Support Head of Technical with cost control of different projects (Drydocking, Overhaul, Retrofit, etc.).
Master\'s degree in engineering or Master of Science in Engineering
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 5 years\' experience in shore-based ship management and no less than 5 years in a similar role
Job-Specific Skills:
Experience with AHTS / Offshore Supply / Offshore Tug / Dive Support Vessels / PSV or Construction Vessels.
Experience with Naval Architecture
