Maintain speed and accuracy during high-volume service.
Packaging for Delivery or Takeaway
Safely package hot and cold food items to preserve temperature, texture, and presentation.
Use appropriate containers and label items correctly (allergens, date/time, special requests).
Seal and secure packaging to avoid spillage or damage during transport.
Quality Assurance
Double-check garnishes, sauces, and accompaniments before plating or packing.
Alert the supervisor to any quality issues, missing components, or food that does not meet standards.
Mise en Place
Prepare tools, utensils, and packaging materials before service starts.
Keep workstations clean and organized for efficient plating and packaging.
Hygiene and Safety
Follow food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) during plating and packaging.
Wear gloves, masks, and follow hygiene protocols to ensure safe handling.
Coordination with Other Sections
Communicate closely with hot and cold sections to time plating and packing correctly.
Assist other kitchen areas when required, especially during peak hours.
Inventory & Supplies
Monitor packaging supply levels (boxes, containers, stickers) and report shortages.
Handle packaging materials responsibly to reduce waste.
