About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Planning Engineer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Site Planning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient execution of construction projects by developing, maintaining, and optimising project schedules.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using advanced planning software such as Primavera P6
Analyse project timelines, resources, and dependencies to identify potential bottlenecks and propose solutions
Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to gather accurate information for schedule updates
Monitor project progress and report variances between planned and actual performance
Prepare and present periodic progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and potential risks
Conduct resource analysis and optimisation to ensure efficient utilisation of manpower and equipment
Assist in the development of recovery plans when projects fall behind schedule
Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in Dubai
Participate in project meetings and contribute to decision-making processes
Maintain accurate records of all planning-related documents and revisions
What do we need from you
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Minimum 10 years of experience in construction project planning, preferably in a site-based role
Proficiency in project management software, particularly Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
Thorough understanding of construction methodologies and techniques
Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Dubai
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
