Nauru Medical Centre is seeking a skilled and compassionate
PICU Nurse
to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to critically ill pediatric patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes through expert clinical practice and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the intensive care unit.
Monitor, assess, and record patient conditions and vital signs.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Operate and maintain life-support equipment and infusion devices.
Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to plan and implement patient care.
Educate and support families regarding patient conditions, treatments, and care plans.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or equivalent qualification).
Valid nursing license/registration in home country.
Minimum
2-3 years of experience
in a
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
or similar critical care setting.
BLS and PALS certification preferred.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
