We are seeking an experienced Pastry Executive Chef with a minimum of 4 years of leadership experience in luxury resorts or 5-star hotels, specializing in buffet dessert planning and execution. The ideal candidate must have strong skills in pastry, bakery, and dessert presentation, and thrive in high-volume, international hospitality environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all pastry and dessert kitchen operations with a focus on buffet production and quality
Design and implement innovative, visually appealing dessert buffet menus that reflect international and local flavors
Ensure consistency, quality, portioning, and creative presentation of all buffet pastry items
Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards across the pastry department
Control pastry inventory and food costs while maintaining high production standards
Supervise and train pastry staff, encouraging a high-performance and collaborative work culture
Coordinate closely with the Executive Chef and F&B team on menu planning, events, and guest feedback
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years' experience as a Pastry Executive Chef or Senior Pastry Chef in luxury resorts or high-end hotels
Mandatory experience in buffet pastry/dessert operations
Expertise in bakery, plated desserts, chocolate work, and international pastry trends
Strong understanding of food cost control, production planning, and presentation standards
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Experience working in diverse, multicultural kitchen environments
Willingness to relocate full-time to the Maldives
