We are seeking an accomplished Executive Chef with a minimum of 4 years' professional experience who excels in managing buffet kitchens in luxury resorts or 5-star hotels. The ideal candidate is passionate about culinary excellence, operational efficiency, and delivering memorable dining experiences for a diverse international clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee all kitchen operations with a focus on buffet service and delivery
Develop and implement innovative buffet menus that meet guest expectations and maintain quality standards
Manage food preparation, presentation, portion control, and consistency across buffet offerings
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all times
Control kitchen inventory, monitor food costs, and optimize resource usage
Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and professionalism
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
Collaborate closely with management on menu planning and special culinary events
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years' experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Chef in 5-star hotels, luxury resorts, or fine dining establishments
Strong and demonstrable experience specifically in buffet kitchen management is mandatory
Expertise in Hot Kitchen, Cold Kitchen, Pastry, Bakery, or A la carte operations is an advantage
Deep knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience working in multicultural teams and international environments is preferred
Willingness to relocate and work full-time in the Maldives
