. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing a wide range of pastries, cookies, and baked goods, while supporting kitchen operations as needed. You will work closely with the Pastry Chef and kitchen team to uphold high standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and baking of pastries, cookies, and other baked goods.
Follow established recipes and presentation standards.
Decorate and present pastries in an attractive and consistent manner.
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the pastry section at all times.
Support the hot kitchen during busy service periods, when required.
Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory control and ordering.
Comply with food safety and sanitation regulations.
Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and menu items.
Maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
Follow all cleaning and maintenance procedures for pastry equipment.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar pastry or bakery role.
Knowledge of basic baking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen tools.
Experience working in a hot kitchen is an added advantage.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Culinary or pastry certification is a plus.
