Job Summary



We are looking for a skilled and passionate Pastry Commi to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in pastry and dessert preparation, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality baked goods and desserts. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting pastries that meet James Cafe's quality and consistency standards.

Responsibilities



Prepare, bake, and present a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods with consistency and precision Ensure proper preparation, baking, and finishing techniques to achieve excellent flavor, texture, and presentation Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry workstation and equipment Monitor inventory of ingredients, report shortages, and assist with ordering supplies Follow strict hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards in all pastry operations Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain efficiency and quality Contribute ideas for seasonal desserts and menu innovations

Requirements



Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar pastry or bakery role Strong knowledge of pastry, dessert, and baking techniques Attention to detail and commitment to consistent product quality Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment Strong organizational and time-management skills Passion for pastry arts and creating high-quality desserts
