Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, bake, and finish a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, and other baked goods.
Maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation according to recipes and brand standards.
Assist the Head Pastry Chef in menu development, seasonal updates, and special creations.
Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the pastry section.
Manage ingredient stock levels, control waste, and ensure efficient use of resources.
Train and support junior pastry staff and apprentices when required.
Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth operation and timely service.
Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results.
Maintain equipment, tools, and workstations in clean and good working condition.
