Our senior students take the IGCSE examinations in Year 11 and move into the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or International Baccalaureate Career-Related Programme (IBCP) in Years 12 and 13.

Parent Engagement Officer
The role of a Parent Engagement Officer is to support the School Director and Director of Enrolments and Operations in developing a strong and active parent community as the central pillar of the school\xe2\x80\x99s culture. To ensure achievement of enrolment targets, provide high quality customer service to new and existing parents and promotion and marketing of the school to relevant stakeholders.
  • Co-ordinate and lead school tours for prospective parents and visitors, promoting the school\xe2\x80\x99s USPs and presenting the school in the best possible way, to ensure the school achieves or exceeds the enrolment targets.
  • Day to day management of the school\xe2\x80\x99s Front of House/Reception ensuring the provision of quality customer service to new and existing parents across all customer touchpoints.
  • Management and continual development of the school communication channels, such as newsletters, the website, and parent portal to ensure the school parent population is fully aware of the school\xe2\x80\x99s activities as a key driver of customer/student retention.
  • Organize parent/community events in order to engage parents in school activities and celebrations and support the school\xe2\x80\x99s parent engagement activities. This includes working with the school and parent committee; attending meetings with the parent committee and working with the committee as their primary link to the school.
  • Promote the school by engaging the Shared Services Media Team to tell stories and produce photographic material that promotes the school\xe2\x80\x99s achievements both academically and other, for AFEF internal communication and the school communication channels (eg: school website, LCD screens, newsletters etc). If required, these should be supported in English and Arabic.
  • If necessary, collaborate with Director of Enrolments and Operations and other members of the FOH be able to develop and implement retention strategies in order to maintain budget enrolment numbers at the school.
  • Undertake regular surveys of new parent views on enrolment process and other subjects of relevance. Collate responses and produce analysis with recommendations.
  • In collaboration with the School Director and Registrar, develop an events calendar to support the enrolment activities for the academic year and work with the SLT on the school parent event calendar to promote the community spirit.
  • Ensure the AFEF and School policies, procedures and codes of conduct are followed at all times.
  • Maintain open lines of communication to existing parents to ensure their concerns, complaints and feedback are handled effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner (liaising with other school personnel or departments as required)
  • Promote, when appropriate, other AFEF schools by arranging appointments, interviews and facilitate relationships between parents and AFEF schools.
  • Attend project / staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
