Operations Manager (Medical Background Required) - Nauru

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced

Operations Manager

with a medical or healthcare background to lead day-to-day operations, logistics, staffing, compliance, and service delivery across multiple medical sites and programs in Nauru. This role requires both operational leadership and clinical understanding to ensure services meet the highest professional, ethical, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise all operational aspects of healthcare delivery across sites. Coordinate closely with medical teams to align operational support with clinical priorities. Oversee procurement, warehousing, transportation, and supply chain for medical equipment and pharmaceuticals. Develop and implement systems, processes, and SOPs to ensure efficient and compliant operations. Support recruitment, training, and performance management of non-clinical and support staff. Ensure compliance with national regulations, organizational policies, and health & safety standards. Prepare operational reports, contribute to strategic planning, and support budgeting processes. Act as a liaison between field teams, headquarters, and external partners. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain operational continuity.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or related field (medical/clinical background required). Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a healthcare setting. Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and clinical workflows. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in remote or challenging environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational management tools.
