Operations Executive (Freight Forwarding & Logistics)

Job Summary:

As an Operations Executive you will responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of freight forwarding and logistics activities, including coordinating shipments, liaising with clients, vendors, and internal teams, and ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and industry standards. Your role will be to focus on optimizing process, managing documentation, and delivering high-quality service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Shipment Coordination

: Plan, organize, and monitor end-to-end freight forwarding processes (air, sea, and land transport). Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies to ensure timely movement of goods. Track shipments and provide real-time updates to clients.

Documentation and Compliance

: Prepare and verify shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, Airway Bills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin. Ensure compliance with UAE customs regulations, import/export laws, and international trade requirements. Handle documentation for customs clearance and coordinate with clearing agents.

Client and Vendor Communication

: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving operational issues. Negotiate rates and coordinate with third-party vendors.

Process Optimization

: Monitor and streamline operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain and find solutions.

Team Collaboration

: Work closely with sales, customer service, and other teams.

Reporting and Record-Keeping

: Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and operational activities. Prepare reports on operational performance, including KPIs like on-time delivery and cost efficiency. Ensure all records are audit-ready and compliant with company policies.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Experience

: 2-5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations in UAE.

Skills

: Strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes (air, sea, land) and UAE customs regulations. Familiarity with international trade terms (Incoterms) and shipping documentation. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Other

: Valid UAE driver's license preferred.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary

: AED 3,000 to AED 5,000 per month, based on experience.
