We are looking for a dedicated and experienced
Outpatient Department (OPD) Nurse
to join our healthcare team in
Nauru
, providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy, multidisciplinary outpatient clinic. This is a hands-on clinical role in a small island nation with unique healthcare needs and a strong focus on community health.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care, triage, and assessment in the OPD
Assist doctors during consultations, minor procedures, and treatments
Administer medications, immunizations, and wound care as required
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation
Educate patients on medication, treatment plans, and health promotion
Support chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension)
Maintain infection control and nursing care standards
Qualifications & Experience:
Licensed/Registered Nurse with bachelor's degree in Nursing
Minimum 3 years' clinical experience, preferably in an OPD or primary care setting
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Strong communication, clinical, and organizational skills
Experience in low-resource or remote settings is an advantage
Ability to work in a multicultural team environment
