We are seeking an experienced Solar O&M Lead to oversee the operations and maintenance of solar power assets. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations and maintenance of solar power plants, including troubleshooting, preventive, and corrective maintenance
- Develop and implement standardized O&M processes and protocols to enhance operational efficiency
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as plant availability, performance ratio (PR), and energy output
- Lead, train, and manage a team of engineers, site managers, and technicians across multiple locations
- Foster a culture of safety, performance, and continuous improvement
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, and areas for performance enhancement
- Implement advanced diagnostic tools, predictive maintenance practices, and digital solutions to optimize energy generation
- Manage relationships with O&M contractors, equipment suppliers, and service providers
- Negotiate and oversee contracts for O&M services, spare parts procurement, and equipment warranties
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Generate detailed performance and maintenance (O&M) reports for stakeholders with insights and recommendations
- Monitor power generation and take immediate corrective actions for underperformance
- Track and manage outages and adjust cleaning cycles based on dust levels and environmental conditions
Job Requirements
- Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering
- Advanced degrees such as MBA or M.Tech are a plus
- Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in the solar or renewable energy sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of managing O&M for multiple rooftop solar installations
- In-depth understanding of solar PV technology, inverters, and related equipment
- Proficiency in performance monitoring tools and predictive maintenance technologies
- Knowledge of grid integration and regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
- DEWA Solar Engineer Certificate, DM Engineer Certificate, and Society of Engineers registration preferred
- Valid UAE Driving License is required
