Sharaf DG Dubai is hiring an experienced Solar PV O&M Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance optimization of commercial and industrial grid-tied solar photovoltaic systems across the UAE. Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for rooftop, ground-mounted, and carport solar PV installations.
• Monitor system performance using SCADA and remote platforms, identifying underperformance and technical faults.
• Diagnose and repair inverter, combiner box, and protection system issues to ensure consistent output.
• Conduct performance analysis, energy yield assessments, and recommend optimization measures.
• Track daily and monthly generation data, preparing technical performance and compliance reports.
• Ensure all maintenance work follows DEWA, ADDC, and Dubai Municipality safety regulations.
• Enforce site safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and electrical safety practices.
• Supervise site technicians and coordinate with subcontractors and clients for planned O&M activities.
• Manage spare parts inventory, scheduling, and timely procurement for maintenance requirements.
• Support commissioning of new PV installations transitioning to the O&M portfolio.
• Suggest upgrades, retrofits, and efficiency improvements to boost energy yield and system reliability.
• Stay updated on new PV technologies, inverter systems, and monitoring tools to enhance O&M performance.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 3-6 years of proven experience in solar PV operations and maintenance, preferably in UAE or GCC.
• Experience managing commercial and industrial PV systems (1-5 MW).
• Proficiency with inverters such as Huawei, SMA, Sungrow, Fronius, and SolarEdge.
• Knowledge of PV system architecture, protection systems, and grid integration principles.
• Strong understanding of SCADA, Modbus/TCP, and data communication protocols.
• Familiar with DEWA net-metering guidelines and Dubai Solar Programme standards.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and reporting skills.
• Effective communication and team coordination capabilities.

Certifications (Preferred)

• DEWA-approved PV Engineer or Technician Certification
• OSHA or NEBOSH Safety Certification
• Basic First Aid and Electrical Safety Training
