Job Description

The Officer Engineering Production Support (Material Management Unit) plays a key role in ensuring the efficient throughput of engines at the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility.
The position is responsible for identifying all material requirements for assigned engine repair and overhaul projects, initiating timely material demands to the Supply Chain, and tracking their fulfilment to meet project deadlines and budget targets.
Working in a fast-paced MRO environment with committed turnaround times (TAT), the Officer ensures that material availability aligns with customer workscopes, inspection findings, and repair actions. The role requires a solid understanding of aviation documentation, engine configuration, and regulatory compliance to maintain build integrity, traceability, and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities

  • Review customer workscopes, inspection results, and repair summaries to identify required materials.
  • Initiate material requests, specifying condition (new/overhauled), life remaining, and certification standards (EASA/FAA/CAAC).
  • Ensure material requests support project profitability and turnaround targets.
  • Maintain accurate databases reflecting documentation status and material demand progress.
  • Generate regular reports to track performance and identify improvement areas.
  • Evaluate workloads and prioritise tasks to meet production deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to drive operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Support investigations, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
  • Follow up on administrative reporting obligations (daily, weekly, and monthly).
  • Stay updated with industry and regulatory developments, participating in relevant training and professional development.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Aerospace, Aviation, or Aeronautical Engineering (Bachelors degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in aviation or MRO operations, including familiarity with various engine types (e.g., Trent 700, GEnx, LEAP, V2500).
  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as Oracle or cMRO.
  • Strong understanding of EASA/FAA/GCAA Part 145 requirements and awareness of Part M.
  • Experience interpreting OEM publications, technical workscopes, and certification documents.
  • D2 Approval on gas turbine engines with at least 2 years experience is highly advantageous.
