Job Description

The Officer Engineering Production Support (Scheduling Unit) plays a vital role within the Aero Engine Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) department.
This position supports both the Engineering Production Support and Engine Operations sections (Gated/LEAP/GEnx) to ensure the smooth and timely throughput of engines.
The role focuses on coordinating administrative planning and scheduling activities that enable the effective execution of engine maintenance projects. Responsibilities include tracking progress, maintaining accurate scheduling data, and supporting cross-departmental coordination to ensure compliance, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
This position requires a sound understanding of MRO workflows, planning systems, and documentation control to maintain operational accuracy and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain databases reflecting progress and completion status of engine maintenance activities.
  • Produce reports that highlight performance, scheduling accuracy, and areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate workloads and prioritise tasks to meet production and turnaround targets.
  • Manage own workload in line with operational and production requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments on continuous improvement activities and process optimisation.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Assist in investigations or corrective actions related to quality or performance.
  • Follow up on daily, weekly, and monthly reports and planning activities as directed by leadership.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency of the department through proactive administrative and technical support.
  • Stay updated with industry knowledge and best practices, completing relevant engine-related training as required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Bachelors degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in aviation, particularly in data and document management within MRO or production environments.
  • Familiarity with technical publications, system configuration management, and ERP planning systems (e.g., Oracle).
  • Experience monitoring schedules, maintaining databases, and supporting documentation accuracy in engineering or technical operations.
