Responsibilities

Role Overview/day to day responsibilities:

+ Ensure that all operations are carried out as per Weatherford HSE requirements and PDO HSE requirements across all stake holder activities including rigs and service providers

+ Responsible for executing routine drilling / workover operations includes drilling, casing running in, cementing, wireline logging, completions, wellbore clean ups, BOP, wellhead installations etc.

+ Conducts detailed observation and inspection of activities on site and translates into operational activities on receiving detailed programs from Supervisor or Drilling Supdt.

+ Reviews programs considering work progress, proposes and implements minor amendments to approved programs considering unforeseen operations requirements.

+ Supervises and controls the activities of personnel involved in the provision of services/operation

+ Ensure that all required supplies are available, orders materials /equipment from stores as required.

+ Ensure a proper look-ahead planning to avoid delays

+ Prepare well-site plans such as casing running and cement calculation

+ Supervise operations during the night.

+ Manage, time, crews and other resources to optimize performance and efficiency

+ Extend training and technical support to direct reports

+ Use good judgement in deciding when to escalate issues to your Superior.

Qualifications

+ 5+ years related field experience

+ High School diploma (or Secondary School Diploma or equivalent) as minimum. Preferred 2 years College degree

+ General product knowledge

+ Mechanical ability necessary to perform repairs

+ Valid Driver license

+ Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel computer skills

+ Self-motivator, self-starter

+ Good oral and written communication skills

+ Must be able to follow instructions

+ Able to work closely with fellow employees
