Job Purpose: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Network Specialist Team Leader to join our IT department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing network components based on conceptual logical and physical architecture diagrams provided by IT consultants. The candidate should also be able to work with external system integrators to design the network if he/she is unable to do it all him/herself and be able to employ a team of network engineers who will be physically implementing the network from scratch. You will be required to liaise and communicate with the IT project leader and the construction team. You will also provide the IT project leader regular updates about the progress of the project Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Put together your own team: \xc2\xb7 You are required to assemble a team of other talented individuals who will implement the physical installation of IT the network. This will involve the creation of job description, responsibilities and remuneration details for each team member. \xc2\xb7 Placing ads on appropriate job sites to attract the best candidates. \xc2\xb7 Conducting interviews and onboarding successful candidates. Network Design and Planning: \xc2\xb7 Design and plan network infrastructure based on the organization\'s requirements and growth objectives. \xc2\xb7 This includes selecting appropriate network technologies, hardware, and topology. Network Implementation & Troubleshooting: \xc2\xb7 Configure, install, and support various network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs. \xc2\xb7 Diagnose and resolve advanced network issues, collaborating with vendors as needed. Network Security & Compliance: \xc2\xb7 Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures to safeguard against threats and unauthorized access. \xc2\xb7 Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to network security. \xc2\xb7 Develop mitigation plans to reduce the effects of any malicious attack should the system be compromised. Network Monitoring: \xc2\xb7 Continuously monitor network performance, traffic patterns, and security alerts to identify and address issues promptly. \xc2\xb7 Use network monitoring tools to track and analyze network health. Capacity Planning & Performance Optimization: \xc2\xb7 Conduct network performance analysis, optimize configurations, and recommend improvements to enhance network responsiveness. \xc2\xb7 Monitor network traffic, analyze patterns, and implement solutions to address bandwidth bottlenecks. \xc2\xb7 Develop mitigation plans to alleviate performance issues affecting the network. Network Maintenance: \xc2\xb7 Perform routine maintenance tasks such as updating firmware, applying patches. \xc2\xb7 Ensure that network equipment is operating at peak efficiency. Document & Reporting: \xc2\xb7 Accurate documentation is essential for troubleshooting and network management. Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures. \xc2\xb7 Generate regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and compliance status for management review. Vendor Management: \xc2\xb7 Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring delivery in accordance with service level agreements. \xc2\xb7 Oversee vendor performance to maintain high-quality services. High Availability & Disaster Recovery: \xc2\xb7 Implement high availability solutions such as failover and clustering to maintain network uptime. \xc2\xb7 Develop and implement network disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of network failures or disasters. Collaboration: \xc2\xb7 Work closely with other IT teams, including system administrators, application developers, and security teams, to ensure seamless network integration and alignment with organizational goals. \xc2\xb7 Mentor junior engineers, providing training and support to enhance their skills and capabilities. Network Automation: \xc2\xb7 Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline network provisioning, configuration changes, and routine tasks. \xc2\xb7 Utilize network analytics and monitoring tools to gather insights into network performance, user behavior, and security threats, making data-driven decisions to improve the network. Remote Access and VPNs: \xc2\xb7 Configure and manage remote access solutions, including virtual private networks (VPNs), to enable secure remote connectivity for employees and partners. Cloud Networking: \xc2\xb7 Responsible for connecting on-premises networks with cloud environments and ensuring secure and efficient communication. Integrate on-premises networks with cloud services, leveraging cloud networking solutions to ensure seamless connectivity and security. Educational Qualification: Master\xe2\x80\x99s or bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Professional Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as CCNP, CCIE or CWNA are highly desirable. Experience: \xc2\xb7Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role. Minimum 5 Years related experience required. Special Technical Skills: \xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and wireless standards (e.g., Wi-Fi 6). \xc2\xb7 Experience with network equipment configuration and management, including routers, switches, wireless controllers, and firewalls. \xc2\xb7 Proficiency in network security practices, including firewall configuration, intrusion, detection/prevention, and VPNs. \xc2\xb7 Familiarity with network monitoring tools and protocols (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow). \xc2\xb7 Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with, team members and vendors. Job Type: Full-time Salary: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month Experience:
