Local Unit & Position Description

Gas Network Inspections Team Leader will require to do Inspection and assessment work that includes technical reviews and inspections on the following:

• Inspection and assessment of the piping system including filling line.

Inspection and assessment of the LPG tank c/w all accessories and controls. * Inspection and assessment of the Fire & gas leak detection system and Fire Fighting System. (With regards to gas system)

Inspection and assessment of 100% accessible apartments of the gas. installations within each building. (plus recorded schedule of those not accessible) * Apartments per each building up to appliances downstream of the LPG tank supplying gas.

• Assessment of the overall system readiness to continue safe operations.
• Safety emergency shutdown system devices.
• Gas control panels.
• LPG tank condition and functioning gas piping systems in buildings rectification and enhancement.

Position Qualifications

• Mechanical / Electrical engineer.
• Minimum 10 years of relative experience.
• UAE resident.

Familiar with the applicable codes & standards for the scope of services in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi listed below and not limited to:

• NFPA 54, 58 & 59.
• Abu Dhabi International fuel gas code (ADIFGC).
• UAE fire and life safety code of practice (ADCD).
• UK LPG Industry code of practice.
• IGEM standards.
