Network and Desktop Support Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for a Network and Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT Support Team. This role involves monitoring, maintaining, and supporting network and desktop infrastructure to ensure seamless operations across the organization. The ideal candidate will provide IT support to all users, manage wired and wireless network devices, firewalls, and desktop systems while following The ENTERTAINER's best practice guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, configure, and maintain Cisco switches for VLAN, routing, and switching
- Manage Cisco wireless controllers, access points, and Fortinet firewalls, including IPSec client VPNs and site-to-site VPNs
- Oversee endpoint security systems, EDR antivirus, and monitoring agents
- Configure, maintain, and manage Avaya IP Office 500 VoIP trunks using SIP and clients
- Administer Windows Active Directory Forest and Office 365
- Provide hardware and software support for all desktop and laptop users
- Enhance and monitor network security by conducting security reviews
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, identify root causes, and debug network communication malfunctions
- Provide support for Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems
- Implement preventive measures to improve network consistency, availability, and security
- Conduct security assessments for all software deployments
- Manage and maintain cloud security, NAS, and data security through firewalls, UTM, IPS/IDS, ACS, and VPN technologies
- Diagnose and repair hardware issues related to laptops, desktops, printers, tablets, and mobile devices
- Work through the IT support ticketing system to resolve technical issues efficiently
- Set up, maintain, and monitor automated alerts for critical IT systems
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for network diagrams and configurations
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Mac OS
- Certifications preferred: CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft Certifications for Windows Servers
- Proficiency in routing, ACLs, and firewall security
- Basic understanding of cloud security and network-attached storage (NAS)
