Key Responsibilities:

Client Consultation:

Meet with clients to understand their financial situation, needs, and goals. Provide advice on mortgage products that best suit their circumstances (e.g., first-time buyers, home movers, remortgages).

Product Knowledge:

Stay up-to-date with current mortgage products, interest rates, government schemes, and other relevant industry developments to offer informed advice.

Mortgage Application Process:

Assist clients in completing mortgage applications, explaining necessary documents, and guiding them through underwriting processes.

Lender Relationships:

Establish and maintain relationships with various lenders to ensure access to the best mortgage rates and terms for clients.

Financial Analysis:

Evaluate clients' financial standing, including creditworthiness, income, debts, and assets, to ensure they meet the requirements for mortgage approval.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure that all mortgage advice complies with current regulatory requirements, including FCA guidelines.

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

Proven experience as a Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker. Strong understanding of mortgage products and financial services. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to assess and interpret financial information. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

Experience working with a variety of mortgage providers and an understanding of their specific requirements. Previous experience in a customer-facing or sales role. Knowledge of relevant software tools (e.g., mortgage calculators, CRM systems).
