Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable, motivated, and customer-focused

Mortgage Advisor

to join our team. In this role, you will guide clients through the process of securing residential or commercial mortgages, providing clear advice on financial products and ensuring regulatory compliance throughout. Your expertise will help clients make informed decisions and navigate the mortgage application process with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess clients' financial situations and provide tailored mortgage advice based on their needs and eligibility. Recommend suitable mortgage products from a range of lenders, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards. Assist clients with completing mortgage applications and liaise with lenders, solicitors, and real estate professionals. Keep up to date with current market trends, lender criteria, interest rates, and industry regulations. Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and reviews. Ensure all advice and processes are fully documented in line with FCA (or relevant regulatory body) requirements. Achieve individual and team sales targets and contribute to business growth.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Mortgage Advisor, Mortgage Broker, or similar role. CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) or equivalent qualification is essential. In-depth knowledge of mortgage lending products, regulatory requirements, and underwriting procedures. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused mindset. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Proficiency in CRM and financial systems/software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of protection/life insurance products. Previous experience in banking, real estate, or financial advisory roles. Ability to handle high volumes of cases in a fast-paced environment.
