About your team
The team is responsible for winning mandates from Tier 1, 2 and 3 Institutional clients to manage predominantly segregated portfolios of their assets in equities, fixed income, private assets and multi-asset investment strategies. We market to institutions in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman and a selection of countries in Africa. After a mandate has been won we are responsible for on-boarding the assets, managing the on-going relationship with the client and ultimately retaining those assets.
About your role

The Middle East is a target growth market for the Institutional Business over the next 3-5 years. Reporting to the Head of Middle East & Africa - Institutional the individual will be a key member of the team focused on supporting and growing the business across client segment tiers and FIL capabilities.
The role involves close internal coordination with the product teams on new proposals and the various support and client servicing functions across the firm. .
The successful candidate will also be closely involved in helping coordinate certain marketing functions and activities; in particular, research articles; speeches; roundtables etc.; and regional client training events.
The business is projected to grow substantially and the individual will be expected to contribute towards achieving the teams business sales target through existing client relationships and onboarding new clients across the different client segment tiers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutions across the region with a view to winning new business and defending existing assets;
  • Broaden the team\'s coverage by taking advantage of being based in the region;Represent and market the full range of capabilities managed by Fidelity International and Fidelity Investments (in the US) across public and private markets, and liaise with the respective product teams to deliver compelling client solutions;
  • Handle new business opportunities and manage existing client mandates by responding fast to client queries with detailed, accurate answers;Identify client and market trends and opportunities by following relevant developments in the press and online.Assist with the preparation and production of sales presentations, pitch books, responding to due diligence questionnaires, regular product and performance updates and ad hoc market updates.
  • Work with the marketing teams to assist and help organize institutional client events and seminars for institutional clients from the Middle East region;
  • Liaise with Legal and Compliance to ensure everything sent externally adheres to internal policies, and external laws and regulations;
  • Responsible for sending out relevant Fidelity publications, market news & articles produced by Marketing and Investment Communications to clients and prospects as appropriate.
  • Maintain and update sales databases (Salesforce) and other relevant sources to produce accurate pipeline and related sales reports.
About you
  • CFA qualification a positive.
  • Minimum of 7 years related experience
  • Broad institutional sales and relationship management background and a thorough understanding of client needs and market trends
  • Can-do attitude. Energetic and creative in handling client enquiries.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests from clients/prospects and internal parties
  • Work independently, willingness to challenge decisions and offer recommendations as appropriate.
  • Ability to collate and report relevant facts and figures then to analyse them.
  • High degree of responsiveness is needed for quick turnaround, impeccable follow-up.
