Barilla Middle East & Africa seeks to recruit the next Marketing and Trade Marketing Manager -Middle East & Africa. The individual will directly report to the VP of Turkey, Middle East & Africa Cluster and functionally to the Regional Marketing Director. The position is based in Dubai.
Job Purpose
Design and develop the marketing and trade marketing plans for the Middle East and Africa businesses.
You will define the national marketing and category plans to meet revenues, volumes, market shares, profitability, brand equity and household penetration targets across different markets of the Cluster, for the retail and food service channels. You will define also role of innovation and innovation roadmap for the business.
You will have the responsibility for the delivery of brand executions consistent with Global and Regional brand guidelines, whilst critically assessing and adapting for local consumer, customer, and market needs.
You are also responsible for the development and analysis of category and shopper insights that will enable the business growth. You will make strategic and operational decisions together with key account managers in order to maximize the company's presence in the cluster, by defining trade marketing plan per markets, per channel and per customer, by monitoring brands performance accordingly.
Key Accountabilities
develop and execute strategic brand plans, in conjunction with the functional Regional Marketing Manager and Global Marketing functions and guidelines. Define category investment strategy and budget splits.
develop comprehensive marketing plans for each brand and category to drive presence across all markets, channels , customers including the Food Service market and penetrate emerging e-commerce and discount channels.
main media campaigns and optimal execution to meet awareness, reach and frequency targets.
manage portfolio to optimise brand equity, meeting global targets for price, positioning, promotional and distribution targets.
Manage channel activities across Modern trade, Traditional trade and Food Service, also thru Distributors where applicable.
Manage research analytics (consumer, customer, categories) to distill insights to meet business needs and determine future direction.
manage and develop agencies relationships to ensure Barilla achieves the best outcomes from available alternatives and budgets.
take part in annual business plan, seeking for the approval by the superior of the budget per customer, providing guidelines in terms of merchandising, assortment, in-store activity and other trade marketing initiatives.
Ensure the respect of established annual trade marketing budget (brand/market/channel/customer); quantifying and scheduling all trade marketing activities, guaranteeing monthly budget follow-up and proposing corrective actions if required.
define the annual trade marketing plan per customer, recommending the promotion intensity and the optimum promo mix per channel / customer, defining the promotion portfolio, and the trade marketing mix per channel and customer; establishing objectives by product and for merchandising policies supporting new product launches and participatingin budget definition.
ensure close follow-up of performance per channel and per customer by providing detailed analysis related to in-store performance of Barilla's products and particularly of promotion / channel / customer performance, and communicate all relevant information to key account managers and marketing in order to support decision making and recommendations.
provide the identification and implementation of development and improvement plans according to business results and monitor constantly efficiency of implemented plans.
deliver internal and external presentations regarding new launches, trade marketing strategies & plans, trade marketing materials, etc.
Requirements
A minimum of 7/8 years of experience in marketing and trade marketing or sales in FMCG Sector
Business acumen/Strategic approach, able to understand the opportunities in the Market
Result driven. Being able to successfully implement projects with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
Strong communication, organization, prioritization skills with a creative and an analytical mind
"Can do" attitude. Take initiatives and ownership. Hands-on mentality, able to make things happen
Capability to mobilize others' energy, leading a team in a credible way.
Able to manage different stakeholders both locally, regionally and globally
Passion for Food
Fluent in English. Arabic is a preferential but not mandatory requirement.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications.
