Maitre d'
who understands luxury service and can lead a service team with excellence.Role Overview:
The Maitre d' will be the face of the restaurant -- welcoming guests, managing reservations, coordinating service, handling VIPs, and ensuring the dining room runs flawlessly.
Responsibilities:
Welcome and seat guests with warmth and professionalism Manage reservations, table rotations, and waiting lists Supervise waiters, runners, bar, and host team Maintain premium service standards throughout the shift Handle guest complaints, VIP relations, and special requests Train new FOH staff on service etiquette Work closely with the kitchen for smooth service flow Ensure cleanliness, atmosphere, and service consistency
Requirements:
3+ years experience in fine dining hotels or upscale restaurants Excellent English; strong communication and presentation skills Confident, calm, elegant presence Excellent understanding of guest psychology & VIP protocol Leadership experience mandatory Experience with OpenTable/Resy/Reservation systems is a bonus
