Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and authoritative

Metal Supervisor

to lead our fabrication team. The ideal candidate has over

5 years of experience

in both Stainless Steel (SS) and Mild Steel (MS) processing. You will be responsible for overseeing daily workshop operations, interpreting engineering drawings ("maps"), ensuring high-quality finishing, and solving technical problems on the floor. You will act as the bridge between the management and the labor force, ensuring targets are met safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Work Allocation

Supervise a team of fabricators, welders, and helpers, assigning daily tasks based on production schedules. Monitor workflow to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Resolve technical conflicts and

solve problems

regarding fit-up, measurements, or material shortages immediately.

2. Technical Oversight (SS & MS)

Oversee the fabrication and welding of

Mild Steel (MS)

structures and

Stainless Steel (SS)

architectural elements. Ensure precise execution of cutting, bending, welding, and assembly processes. Inspect final products for quality, ensuring

finishing

(polishing/grinding) meets client visual standards before delivery.

3. Blueprint Reading & Reporting

Read and interpret complex

engineering drawings, maps, and sketches

to explain specifications to the workforce. Prepare

daily progress reports

regarding production output, material usage, and labor attendance. Calculate material requirements and request stock replenishment to avoid downtime.

4. Safety (PPE) & Quality Control

Enforce strict adherence to

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

and safety protocols on the shop floor. Conduct quality checks on weld joints and dimensions to prevent rework. Maintain discipline and cleanliness in the workshop.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential Skills:

Experience:

Minimum of 5-7+ years in Metal Fabrication, with at least 2 years in a Supervisory/Foreman role.

Material Expertise:

Deep technical knowledge of

Stainless Steel (SS)

(304, 316 grades) and

Mild Steel (MS)

.

Technical Proficiency:

Ability to weld and fabricate personally if required to demonstrate or fix complex issues.

Blueprint Reading:

Expert ability to read technical drawings, maps, and fabrication plans.

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership,

problem-solving

, and communication skills for reporting.

Certifications:

Preferred:

Vocational Trade Certificate in Fabrication, Welding, or Metalworking.

Bonus:

Safety Certifications (e.g., IOSH, OSHA) or Quality Control certification.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods and inspect sites/workshops. Clear vision for quality control and inspection of fine finishing.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary:

QAR 3,500.00 - 4,500.00

per month (Based on experience and leadership capability).

Return Economy Class Air Ticket (Every 2 years or as per policy).
