Job Description

The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all MEP-related aspects of construction and development projects. This role ensures that MEP systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall project while maintaining compliance with technical standards, budget constraints, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage MEP design and construction activities across all project phases. Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure technical accuracy and alignment of MEP systems. Review MEP drawings, specifications, and plans to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements. Monitor progress of MEP installations and ensure alignment with project schedule and milestones. Identify and resolve technical issues, conflicts, or discrepancies related to MEP systems. Ensure all MEP installations comply with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Facilitate communication and documentation between stakeholders for change orders, RFIs, and design revisions. Assist with budgeting, cost estimation, and procurement for MEP components. Track and report project status, potential risks, and solutions to senior management. Support testing, commissioning, and handover processes for MEP systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in MEP coordination within construction or engineering projects. Familiarity with building systems, MEP drawings, and construction documents. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
