Job Description

The MEP Fit-Out Designer is responsible for the design, coordination, and documentation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for interior fit-out projects. This role ensures that all MEP designs meet client requirements, comply with local codes, and are effectively integrated with architectural and structural elements.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Development Prepare detailed MEP design layouts, schematics, and construction documents using AutoCAD Develop HVAC, electrical, fire protection, plumbing, and low-current system layouts tailored to fit-out projects. Coordinate with architects, interior designers, , and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of MEP services. Resolve technical issues during design and construction phases. Compliance & Standards Ensure designs adhere to local building codes, health and safety standards, and project-specific requirements. Apply relevant international and local MEP design standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, BS, DEWA, etc.). Site Support & Supervision: Attend site meetings and inspections to ensure proper implementation of design. Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and handover stages. Documentation: Prepare BOQs, technical submittals, and as-built drawings. Maintain up-to-date project documentation and revision control.
Qualifications & Skills:

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field. 3-5+ years of experience in MEP design, preferably in interior fit-out projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD, and MS office. Solid understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Strong coordination and communication skills. Familiarity with LEED or other sustainable building practices is an advantage.
Preferred Experience:

Experience working on commercial, retail, hospitality, or office fit-out projects. Familiarity with local authority approval processes (e.g., DEWA, Civil Defence, Municipality)
