Job Title: MEP Estimator (Interior Fit-Out)

Role Purpose

In the world of luxury fit-outs, the "unseen" systems are just as important as the finishes. We are looking for an

MEP Estimator

who can accurately price the life-blood of a building--HVAC, Electrical, and Public Health systems. You will ensure our bids are technically compliant with Dubai authorities while remaining commercially competitive.

Key Responsibilities

Comprehensive Take-offs:

Conduct precise measurements for Electrical (LV/ELV), HVAC ducting, Firefighting systems, and Plumbing fixtures from specialized MEP layouts.

Pricing & BOQ Management:

Build detailed MEP Bills of Quantities from scratch, ensuring every nut, bolt, and cable is accounted for in the final bid.

Technical Compliance:

Review designs against

DEWA, DCD, and Dubai Municipality

standards to ensure proposed systems will pass inspection without costly post-tender variations.

Strategic Sourcing:

Build and maintain relationships with MEP suppliers and specialist subcontractors to secure "project-winning" rates.

Gap Analysis:

Coordinate with the Civil/Joinery estimators to ensure a "seamless" tender--making sure power points align with joinery and AC diffusers match ceiling layouts.

Bid Compilation:

Assist in the preparation of technical submittals, including material data sheets and compliance statements.

Candidate Profile

Education:

B.Tech / B.E. in

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

.

Experience:

2-4 years of UAE-based estimation experience. You should be familiar with the nuances of Dubai's commercial and residential fit-out requirements.

Software Mastery:

High proficiency in

MS Excel

(for complex costing) and

AutoCAD

(for take-offs). Familiarity with PlanSwift is a plus.

Authority Knowledge:

You must understand the basic submission requirements for DEWA (Electrical/Water) and DCD (Fire Life Safety).

Mindset:

A "problem-solver" who can identify potential site clashes during the estimation phase to save the execution team time and money.
