Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

MEP Estimator

with

5-7 years of experience in the Interior Fit-Out industry

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) components of fit-out projects. This includes analyzing project specifications, reviewing drawings, liaising with vendors, and coordinating with project and design teams to ensure cost-effective solutions that meet project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs for

Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems

. Prepare

detailed cost estimates

for MEP works in fit-out projects including HVAC, lighting, power, fire fighting, ELV systems, water supply, and drainage. Liaise with

vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors

to obtain quotations and ensure competitive pricing. Analyze

value engineering

opportunities to optimize cost without compromising on quality or compliance. Prepare and submit

technical and commercial proposals

in coordination with the estimation and design teams. Participate in

tender clarifications

, post-tender negotiations, and client meetings as required. Maintain a database of suppliers, material prices, and subcontractor rates for MEP items. Coordinate with project and procurement teams during pre-award and post-award stages to ensure scope clarity and budget alignment. Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, codes, and client requirements. Track market trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure accurate and updated estimates.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

5-7 years of proven experience

in MEP estimation within the

Interior Fit-Out industry

. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methods, and material specifications. Experience working with

fit-out consultants, designers, and general contractors

. Proficiency in estimation tools such as

AutoCAD, MS Excel, and causeway is an added advantage.

Ability to read and interpret

MEP drawings, specifications, and technical documents

. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple estimates simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in handling

fast-track fit-out projects

. Exposure to commercial interior projects.
