The MEP Draughtsman is responsible for preparing detailed shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination layouts for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems. The role requires strong knowledge of drafting standards, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with engineers and site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare
MEP shop drawings
(HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, drainage, etc.) based on design drawings and specifications.
Develop
as-built drawings
after site execution.
Coordinate drawings with other disciplines (architectural, structural, civil, interior, etc.) to avoid clashes.
Ensure all drawings comply with
company standards, codes, and project requirements
.
Update and revise drawings as per engineers' or consultants' comments.
Maintain drawing registers and documentation for approvals and submission.
Work closely with site engineers to capture any design changes or variations.
Provide
technical support
to project and site teams regarding drawing interpretation.
Ensure timely delivery of drawings to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma / ITI / Certificate in
Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Drafting
or related field.
2-5 years of experience
as an MEP Draughtsman (construction industry preferred).
Proficiency in
AutoCAD
, Revit MEP, or other drafting software.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, standards, and construction practices.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
