Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled MEP Draughtsman to prepare detailed technical drawings and plans for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in accordance with project specifications and standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate with project engineers and MEP teams to ensure accurate and efficient design documentation for construction and installation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings for MEP systems based on project requirements and specifications.
Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP engineering drawings to produce coordinated layouts.
Ensure drawings comply with local codes, standards, and project specifications.
Coordinate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to resolve design conflicts and discrepancies.
Update and revise drawings as per project changes and client requirements.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of all drawings and revisions.
Assist in the preparation of material take-offs and quantity estimates.
Use AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software to produce high-quality drawings.
Ensure adherence to project deadlines and quality standards.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Proven experience as an MEP Draughtsman, preferably in the UAE or Gulf region.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant design software.
Good knowledge of MEP systems, standards, and local building codes.
Strong coordination and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes.
Familiarity with project management software.
