Claywatt Construction is looking to onboard a highly accurate and authority-savvy

MEP Draftsman

to support our technical and project management team. This role is ideal for a skilled draftsman with a firm grasp of MEP coordination, UAE authority standards, and construction-ready documentation for villa and low-rise developments across Dubai.

About the Role

You will be responsible for producing detailed MEP shop drawings and coordination layouts that align with architectural, structural, and site-specific requirements. Your work will be essential to ensuring timely authority submissions, design approvals, and smooth on-site implementation of MEP systems.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare comprehensive MEP shop drawings including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, and electrical layouts Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural and structural plans to ensure clash-free execution Develop as-built drawings and detail sections as required for submissions and approvals Ensure full compliance with DM, DEWA, DCD, and other local authority CAD and drawing requirements Incorporate consultant comments, redlines, and revisions with precision and version control Assist in preparing drawing packages for technical submittals, permits, and site implementation Work closely with engineers, consultants, and site teams to resolve conflicts and maintain drawing accuracy

Candidate Profile

Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering Minimum of

5 years of relevant MEP drafting experience

, including at least

3 years in Dubai

with villa, townhouse, and low-rise projects Proven experience with

Dubai Municipality (DM)

,

DCD

,

DEWA

, and other regulatory authorities' drafting standards Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks is an advantage Strong understanding of MEP coordination principles and service integration best practices Highly organized with strong attention to technical detail and drawing clarity Ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines with accuracy and accountability UAE driving license is preferred but not mandatory
