in Al Shamkha and are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Designer to contribute to this landmark development.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a proficient MEP Designer who is deeply familiar with the design and coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for large-scale new construction sites. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently to produce the high-quality drawings and documentation required for a major residential project like the PUD Complex. A proven track record of successful submissions and approvals from TAQA/ADDC.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed MEP shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and as-built drawings for the PUD Residential Complex using AutoCAD and Revit.
Prepare all necessary MEP calculations to support design decisions.
Prepare and compile approved material submittals and technical documentation.
Create detailed installation details, riser diagrams, and schematic diagrams for all MEP systems.
Generate comprehensive equipment schedules and support system designs.
Design single- and double-line routings for plumbing system piping.
Develop detailed sections and plans for critical areas, including main electrical rooms, corridors, main cable inlets, trenches, and other congested spaces.
Clearly indicate levels, dimensions, and elevations for all MEP elements (e.g., sockets, switches, DBs, lights, outlets, pipes, ducts).
Perform clash detection and resolve spatial coordination issues between MEP systems, as well as with architectural and structural elements.
Ensure all designs and drawings fully comply with Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) regulations, TAQA requirements, and other relevant UAE codes and standards.
Work independently to manage and execute drawing packages from inception to completion.
Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, structural designers, consultant and site teams.
Review and incorporate design changes into drawings promptly and accurately.
Liaise with authorities, specifically including the preparation and submission of detailed MEP shop drawings to TAQA for approval.
Attend project coordination meetings and provide technical input.
Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum of 4+ years of experience as an MEP Designer, specifically within the UAE construction industry.
Must provide evidence of previously submitted and approved MEP shop drawings by TAQA (Abu Dhabi Distribution Company).
Applications without this specific proof will not be considered.
Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD is a must and Revit (MEP) is preferrable.
In-depth, proven knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems design for large-scale residential construction projects.
Comprehensive understanding and practical experience applying ADM (Abu Dhabi Municipality) and TAQA regulations for all MEP systems.
Strong experience in multi-disciplinary coordination (Architectural, Structural, MEP).
Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and manage multiple tasks independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
ADQCC and E1 certificates are preferable
Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field.
