Provide overall clinical leadership to ensure high standards of patient care.
Supervise and guide physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
Review and approve clinical protocols, pathways, and treatment guidelines.
Quality & Safety Oversight
Monitor and improve clinical outcomes through quality assurance programs.
Lead morbidity and mortality reviews, audits, and clinical performance evaluations.
Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and clinical risk management.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure the facility complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards (e.g., Ministry of Health).
Prepare for and participate in inspections and external reviews.
Medical Staff Management
Participate in the recruitment, credentialing, orientation, and evaluation of medical personnel.
Promote continuous professional development and training for clinical staff.
Address clinical performance issues and support corrective action when necessary.
Policy & Protocol Development
Develop and update clinical policies, procedures, and protocols in line with best practices.
Ensure that medical staff are informed of and comply with all clinical policies.
Strategic Planning & Development
Contribute to the strategic planning of medical services.
Align clinical services with the center's vision, mission, and goals.
Patient-Centered Care
Uphold patient rights and promote a patient-centered approach to care.
Address serious or escalated patient complaints related to medical services.
Interdepartmental Collaboration
Collaborate with administration, nursing, operations, and finance departments.
Facilitate communication and coordination across departments to improve service delivery.
Emergency Preparedness
Oversee the medical aspect of emergency and disaster response planning.
Ensure staff training and readiness for medical emergencies.
Reporting & Documentation
Provide regular reports on clinical operations, quality indicators, and compliance.
Maintain proper documentation related to clinical governance and decision-making.
