We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced
Medical Coder
to assist our medical staff with
malpractice-related documentation and coding
. The candidate will ensure accurate and compliant medical coding, supporting internal processes and maintaining proper records for staff malpractice cases.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze medical records related to staff malpractice documentation.
Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to ensure compliance with legal and insurance requirements.
Verify accuracy of diagnosis and procedure codes related to malpractice incidents.
Maintain confidentiality of all staff and patient records.
Collaborate with the administration and legal departments to ensure timely and accurate submission of required documents.
Assist in audit preparation and provide clarification when needed.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Medical Coding, Health Information Management, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding systems.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to handle sensitive information.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in medical coding (experience in malpractice documentation is a plus).
