Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced

Medical Coder with Resubmission Expertise

to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing, analysing, and ensuring accurate coding of medical records while handling claim resubmissions and denials. The role requires proficiency in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding, as well as strong knowledge of insurance guidelines and claim adjudication processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately assign medical codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) based on provider documentation. Analyze and process denied claims, identify errors, and execute timely resubmissions. Review and correct coding discrepancies to ensure claims compliance with payer policies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, payer requirements, and insurance policies. Collaborate with physicians, billing teams, and insurance representatives to resolve coding-related issues. Conduct audits of coded records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Assist in training healthcare staff on proper documentation and coding procedures to minimize claim rejections. Stay updated with changes in medical coding regulations, insurance policies, and reimbursement guidelines. Ensure all coding and billing activities comply with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. Prepare and submit reports on claim resubmission status and denial trends to management.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education

: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related field.

Certification

: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent certification (AHIMA/AAPC preferred).

Experience

: Minimum 2 years of medical coding experience, with a focus on claim resubmissions and denials management. Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and medical terminology. Familiarity with medical billing software, Electronic Health Records (EHR), and insurance portals. Proficiency in analyzing Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and insurance claim adjudication processes. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Strong communication skills for interaction with physicians, insurance providers, and billing teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a hospital or multispecialty clinic setting. Familiarity with UAE healthcare regulations and payer requirements
