Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and certified

Medical Coder with dental coding expertise

to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assigning codes to dental procedures and diagnoses using CDT, CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II standards. This role ensures compliance with insurance regulations and supports efficient billing and reimbursement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Review dental charts and treatment records for coding accuracy Assign appropriate codes for procedures such as extractions, restorations, cleanings, and orthodontics Ensure codes meet federal regulations and payer requirements Submit claims and follow up on unpaid or denied dental claims Collaborate with dentists and billing staff to clarify documentation Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental coding guidelines and insurance policies Respond to dental records requests and invoice requestors Support billing and AR teams with coding-related queries

Qualifications:

Certification from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent) Bachelor Degree any related field Minimum 6 months of experience in dental coding Proficiency in CDT, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II Strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of UAE insurance workflows and HAAD coding directives Experience with risk adjustment (HCC) and HEDIS coding Strong communication and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
